any online colleges for high school students to earn a degree well still in high school?

There are some legitimate schools that will allow you to enroll while still in HS, usually after you complete your 11th grade.

Your best bet is the “distance learning” programs at your local community college and/or state 4-year university. That way you are assured that courses that you complete satisfactorily will apply to a real degree at that school or other accredited school.

My understanding is that the for-profit scam schools [AMU, Capella, Phoenix and so forth] will allow you to enroll if you have money – that is the only criteria.

I want to major in music and writing. What online college is right for me?

online colleges for music
by Ken Lund

Question by mgirl: I want to major in music and writing. What online college is right for me?
Music is my passion. But my father does not like it so i need to find a way to meet the middle ground. So i also love writing stories and anything really ( i have a good imagination). So i want to go to a college that has both a great music program and a program for writing or liberal arts. A college thats online. So far the only way i figure to fix my dilema is to go to two online colleges at the same time. Not impossible but hard. I already have a music college that im in love with but i was wondering if anyone would have an easier way to do this.
And yes you can get a music degree online. At berkleemusic.com. dont send messages if your trying to make me look dumb. ive done that much research.

NONE, no music degree can be done online that’s accredited. I was in music school and your entire music degree is based on singing/performing and being evaluated. Attendance is required, especially when you need to go in with a major instrument and audition a year before starting the program. You can double major, but you have to do it on campus

I need a list of good online colleges?

Question by : I need a list of good online colleges?
Not the ones that provide classes, but an accredited collage that I get credit for a masters degree else where.
by provide classes I mean look up a specific lesson and watch a video. I want one where you actually follow a curriculum and have a Schedule.

What do you mean, not ones that provide classes? You need to take classes to earn credit. Almost no schools will let you earn many credits just by taking exams. Many graduate programs will not accept masters credits in transfer, even from good schools that you took in person. You pretty much need to start those from the beginning at the school you’re attending.

Online Colleges. Accredited & inexpensive….?

what online colleges are accredited
by Ken Lund

Question by 2 makes 1: Online Colleges. Accredited & inexpensive….?
Ashworth University, Penn Foster?
What other colleges are accredited & inexpensive & online?
Now, before answering this question, be sure that your facts are straight & not something that you “think” is right.
Taranto, so I am a single divorced mother that works 6 days a week at a News paper. I want to get a degree. The only way I can do it, is online.
Heres what I see: 1. If I do decide to go online, than anything I take WILL NOT be thought of as crediable. 2. If I don’t dump 80,000, into a year of studies, then I am wasting my time.
Thank you!! I have decided to NOT go to college, because it is more important to pay my bills & feed my child than it is to support that kind of thought in Colleges.

You should realize that there is a difference between ‘accredited’ and ‘respected.’ No online universities are respected.

As for inexpensive — these are For Profit universities and are more expensive than respeced public universities. But there are other costs. Even if you could find one with a low tuition, you have to think about the opportunity cost of having a degree that no one respects. If you can’t get a good job when you graduate, is it really worth the tuition even if it is inexpensive?

You are better off going to a public university. Many of them offer some courses online .
